Maligano Jasper originates exclusively from Southeast Sulawesi, an island in Indonesia. First discovered around 2011–2012, this relatively rare material is named after a small village in the region. It is formed from ancient volcanic hot spring systems. Maligano Jasper is a brecciated stone, meaning it is formed from angular fragments of rock that naturally fractured and were then cemented back together by silica-rich materials like agate and quartz.
