Dichroic glass is a stunning material that shifts colors depending on your viewing angle and the light. Created by fusing micro-thin layers of metal oxides (like titanium or magnesium) onto a glass surface in a vacuum chamber, it acts as a high-tech optical filter. The name "dichroic" comes from Greek, meaning "two-colored". Instead of fading, the ultra-thin crystalline layers reflect certain wavelengths of light while allowing others to pass through.
